How ExamForge works

From sign-up to a finished exam paper in a few minutes.

  1. 1

    ๐Ÿ“ Create your account

Click Sign up and register with your email and a password โ€” or use Continue with Google for one-click sign-up. If you register with email, we send you a confirmation link; click it to activate your account.

  2. 2

๐ŸŽ Get your 10 free credits

As soon as your email is verified (or you sign up with Google), a wallet is created for you with 10 free credits โ€” enough to build your first exams. Credits are only spent when you save an exam.

  3. 3

    ๐Ÿ“š Add your subjects

Go to Subjects and add the syllabuses you teach (for example Biology A Level or Computer Science IGCSE) to your dashboard. You can add or remove subjects any time.

    Browse subjects →
  4. 4

    ๐Ÿงฉ Open the exam builder

From your Dashboard or a subject card, click Build exam. The builder opens for that subject and draws from its bank of real past-paper questions.

  5. 5

    ๐Ÿ”Ž Find & preview questions

Type a keyword in the live search (e.g. logic, osmosis, matrices) or filter by paper โ€” results update as you type. Click Preview to see the actual question, then Add it to your exam.

  6. 6

    ๐Ÿ” Arrange your paper

Drag the chosen questions into the order you want, adjust the marks on any question, and watch the total marks and credit cost update live so you know exactly how long (and how much) your paper is.

  7. 7

    ๐ŸŽจ Design the cover page

Add your institution name and logo (left, centre or right), set the duration (auto-suggested from the total marks, editable) and edit the exam instructions. Click Preview to review the whole paper first (the preview is watermarked until you save).

  8. 8

โœ… Save & unlock the marking scheme

Click Save exam. Credits are deducted based on the number of questions (each subject has its own per-question rate). Your question paper and a matching marking scheme are generated instantly โ€” open either one and use your browser to print or save as PDF.

  9. 9

    ๐Ÿ’ณ Buy more credits

When you need more, go to Wallet and pick a credit batch (bigger batches are cheaper per credit). Pay securely with Paystack โ€” M-Pesa or card, in KES. Credits are added to your wallet immediately.

    Buy credits →
  10. 10

๐Ÿซ Working as a school (optional)

Open School to join your institution โ€” teachers registered on the school's email domain can request to join in one click, and anyone else can use the school's join code. A school administrator approves the request. Once you're a member you can pick one of the school's ready-made cover pages from a drop-down in the builder, and choose to bill the paper to the school instead of your own wallet. School papers are visible only to you and your school administrators.

  11. 11

    ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ School approvals

A paper billed to the school waits for a school administrator, who previews the whole paper before deciding. If they accept it, printing and the marking scheme unlock. If they reject it, the credits go back to the school pool and you get their note so you can fix the paper and resubmit. You are emailed and alerted either way. Administrators also buy credits centrally and can allocate them to individual teachers.

  12. 12

๐Ÿค Share credits & manage exams (optional)

You can share credits with a colleague by their email (you keep a minimum balance of 50), archive exams you no longer need (they stay on record and can be restored), and update your profile or password under Settings.
